Annie L. Fisher Walker, 80
On April 28, 2014, Annie L. Fisher Walker left this world to go into the waiting arms of her loved ones gone before. She was born April 28, 1934 in Hendersonville to the late Oscar and Madge Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Luis and Edward Fisher; sister, Lois Thompson; son, Kenneth Pace; and her much loved husband of 42 years, Clarence Walker.
Ann found happiness in every day and shared it with everyone. She had the ability to make each of us feel like the most important person in the world, who could do no wrong. She always saw the good in people, forgave all and would defend you fiercely.
Ann was a strong and capable woman who did her best to take care of others, never complaining or expecting anything in return. Known as a peacekeeper, Ann helped people to love and forgive as she did those who wrongly judged her. She lit up a room with her easy smile and made the world a happier place.
Ann held several jobs over the years, excelling at each. Her last job, being her favorite, was in the lab at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, where she was often requested personally to perform blood work.
Surviving Ann are her sisters, Lula Ward, Dorothy Marshall, and Barbara Baldwin (Tommy); sons, Michael Pace (Gail), and Timothy Pace; daughter, Deborah Wagner (Howard); several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and sisters of the heart, Betty Magnum and Carolyn Duncan.
Ann was a loyal sister, loving wife, faithful friend, and always a devoted, supportive and loving mother. Although it breaks our heart to see her go, thereís peace in knowing sheís at rest and singing with joy once more.
A funeral service will be at 3:00pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Walt Christian. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
