Avery Allen Fisher, 45, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, June 30, at the Elizabeth House following a lifelong struggle with chronic illness.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of Larry Fisher of Seneca, SC and the late Linda Fisher Gillenwater.
He attended Edneyville High School and received his auto mechanic certification from Blue Ridge Community College. In addition to working as a mechanic, his family called him their “computer guru” and “Mr. Fixit” for his ability to build and troubleshoot computers or anything mechanical. He was of the Methodist faith.
Avery is survived, in addition to his father, by three sisters, Teresa Scarborough (Stanley), Lisa Kucharchuk (Darrell Davis) and Margo Barbee (Gary), all of Hendersonville; his niece, Elizabeth Kucharchuk; and nephew, Spencer Kucharchuk. Also surviving, Avery’s girlfriend Debbie.
A visitation will be held 1:00 pm Friday, July 3, in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Robbie Glaspy officiating. At other times the family will be at the home of Lisa Kucharchuk.
Memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Rd, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

I love you baby. I miss you so bad. I would give anything to go back in time and do things so different. It’s been 8 days since you left me and is still so very painful. I don’t know how I’ll go on without you. I don’t even know that I want to. I love you so very much. I just want you back with me.
