On Saturday, April 16, 2022, we lost our mom and grandmom, Betty Dimsdale Holbert. She passed away at home following a long sickness, and she was surrounded by love and soft gospel music.

She was the rock of the family – the one who held all of us together and took care of us. We already miss her, but we are thankful for the precious memories we have in our hearts.

Betty loved her three grandchildren, Miranda, Max, and Kendra, more than anything. They had a special connection, and she always cooked their favorite things to eat – even if they all wanted something different. They had years of learning ABCs, walking in the neighborhood, playing ball, and camping. They will miss her love and friendship, and we pray that all three kids grow up to have the same strength and generosity as grandmom.

Those of us left behind, husband of 52 years, Sherman; son, Roger and his wife, Liz; son, Ronnie and his wife, Mandy, will do our best to take care of each other the way she took care of us. Betty also has two sisters still with us, Carolyn and Shirley.

Our hearts are broken, but we have love in our family, and in the end, that’s all that matters.

We miss you, mom.

A private entombment was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville.
