Betty Viola Brock

Betty Viola ìCoopieî Brock, 80, of 135 Talley Drive, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Park Ridge Health following a brief illness. She was a native of Buncombe County, and had resided in Henderson Country for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late James Pearson and Bessie Raines Brackett. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Alexander Brock, who passed away September 27, 1995; brothers, Robert, Harold, and James Jr., and a sister, Azalee Mason.

Betty is survived by her sons, Troy Earl Brock and his wife Anna Jean of Fletcher, David Lee Brock and his wife Beth of Weaverville; daughter, Janice Lanning and her husband Steve of Hendersonville; sister, Louise Brackett Shipman; grandchildren, Sharon, Christopher, Travis, James, Alex, Amanda, Alicia, Dakota, Austin, Isaac, Isaiah, and Malachi; great-grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Elijah, Sierra, Jacob, Alexis, Cameron, and Maddox.

A memorial service will be held at 4 oíclock in the afternoon on January 15, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Brackett and Reverend Donald McDaniel officiating.

The family will be at the home of Troy Brock, 135 Talley Drive Fletcher, NC.
