Carolyn McClure Corn Gilliam, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, went to be with the Lord Thursday March 26 following a brief illness at Park Ridge Hospital. She is now reunited with her parents James C. and Luola McClure, her brother J.D. McClure and sisters Louise Ledbetter and Orpha Wright.
Carolyn was a member of Apple Valley Church of God; and has lived most of her life in Henderson County.
She leaves her brother Bill McClure and his wife Irene, her six children, son Michael Burrell and his wife Linda, daughter Shirley Branyon and husband Dean, son Cecil Corn and wife Jennifer, daughter Carol Travis and husband Kevin, son Curtis Corn and wife Deadra, all of Hendersonville and son Kenny Corn and wife Monica of Andrews, North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Apple Valley Church of God. Reverends Kenny Corn, Kevin Travis, and Ken Braswell will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
