Carolyn P. Anderson, 88, born in Baldwin, NY and a 25 year resident of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Hospice House in Cape Coral, FL.
She was an accomplished organist for more than 50 years, playing in several churches and for many special occasions. She was a passionate musician and a kind and fun-loving person, who will be greatly missed by her family and many dear and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles, after 59 years of marriage.
Survivors include four children, sons, Charles and wife, Janet, of Pittstown, NJ, Christian and wife, Anne, of Flanders, NJ and Tim of Hendersonville; a daughter, Cindy of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Charles Anderson and wife, Susan, of Asbury, NJ, Beth Furtick and husband Craig, of Elgin, IL and Lee Anderson of Hendersonville; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Anderson of NJ, and Amanda, Micah, Maddie and Macey Furtick; and a dear friend, Robin Hancock of Cape Coral, FL, who helped greatly with her care, will also miss her.
Family and friends will have an informal celebration of her life at noon Saturday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to noon and memories or stories may be shared during the service.
