Christine Ann Donecho Yamitelli, age 53, of Gastonia, North Carolina, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 after an extended illness with her family by her side.
Christine was born on February 18, 1969 in Port Jefferson, New York. She is survived by her parents, Santa and James Donecho of Hendersonville, North Carolina; her devoted husband of 27 years, Anthony; her children, James Anthony and Cecilia Rose. In addition, she leaves behind two brothers, James and his wife Jennifer and Michael and his wife Ashley; two nieces, Emily and Alyssa; one nephew, Jackson; and Anthony’s parents, his father, Anthony Yamitelli and his wife Barbara; and his mother, Katherine Schelp.
Christine was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her family and helping others. She touched many hearts throughout her life.
There will be a memorial viewing on Thursday, January 05, 2023 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at McLean’s Funeral Home, 700 South New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28054.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 07, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 208 Seventh Avenue, Hendersonville, North Carolina 28791.
A private inurnment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina.
