Clarence S. Walker, 84, of Greenback, TN, departed this life to start his ultimate flight to heaven Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was born December 7, 1929 to Rubyn and Viola Walker. Clarence previously lived in Rocky Mount, NC, Hendersonville/Etowah, NC and Maryville, TN. He worked in several fields, including electrical lineman, farming, electrical supply, and Air National Guard electronics. He was once a private pilot and always had a love of planes and space. He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. An avid reader, he was always dreaming of new places to explore. A ìself-taughtî man, he was known to be able to fix anything. Clarence laughed often and enjoyed the simple things in life. He had the ability to love deeply and was loved much. He will be missed by many whose lives he touched and made better by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Ann Fisher Walker and her children who loved him as a father and friend; his four children of whom he was very proud and loved very much, Wesley (Susie) Walker, Terry (Nancy) Walker, Deborah Morrow, and Nancy (David) McKinnis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Cashion and Dorothy Bone; and several nieces and nephews.
The family and friends will gather at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2014 for a graveside service, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Phillip Youngblood officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Shaw Air Force Honor Guard.
Always in our hearts.
