Claude Holder, Jr., lost his battle with cancer on January 23, 2012 at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born on January 22, 1930 in Hot Springs, NC and was a resident of Henderson County most of his life. He ran USA Produce for many years in Hendersonville and was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by a step-son, J.D. Clark.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice Coleman Holder; three sons, Jackie Holder and his wife Elaine, Ray Holder, and Dale Holder all of Hendersonville; a former daughter-in-law and friend, Patricia Michaels; three grandsons, Jonathan Holder, Brandon Crawford both of Hendersonville, and Jimmie Fowler of Florida; 10 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Lail officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times the will be at the home of Ray Holder at 606 Brooklyn Ave., Hendersonville; turn right beside Little Red School Daycare at the first trailer on the left.
