Clayton Theodore Jones, 2, of East Flat Rock, fondly known by many as ìBaby Clay,î was born on January 31, 2013 and healed into Heaven on May 22, 2015, surrounded by those who loved him most.
In his short life Clay touched many people all over the world, most of whom had never met him, yet he had a profound impact on their lives. We believe that Clay knew how much he was loved by everyone. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for Clay and assisted in his care.
Clay is survived by his mommy, Delphia Jones; stepfather, Jackson Hunter; sister, Anna Grace Hunter; maternal grandmother, Darcey Jones; maternal great-grandmother, Grace Jones; aunts, Beverly Edney and Myra Bishop (Chris) and uncle, Kevin Jones (Samantha); several cousins, and many others who love and miss him dearly.
A celebration of Baby Clayís life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11AM at the Words of Life Tabernacle, 815 Glenn Bridge Rd, Arden. The Reverends Walt Christian and Jerry Warren will officiate.
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Delphia~ I am so sorry to hear about Clay’s passing. In the short time that I got to know the two of you, I was blessed to see the bond the two of you had and that you also shared with your aunt. I may have left your lives but I never stopped praying for you guys. May God continue to Bless you, your new baby and your husband. Clay is an Angel watching and protecting you as you did for him. Blessings to your family.
May the Love of Jesus be so close to you during this time. My heart is broken for you…sending you love and blessings…
To the Jones Family: I am very sad to hear about Clayton’s death. It is never easy to deal with the death of a loved one but especially when it is a young one who was just beginning life. May God give you comfort as He seeks to help us through these troublesome trials that He does not cause (2 Corinthians 1:3; James 1:13).
