Clyde Ray Thomas, 28, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Margaret R. Pardee Hospital after a very unexpected and short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Mark Ray Thomas and Linda Summey Thomas of Hendersonville. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles V. Summey, and his grandparents, Clyde and Mary Thomas.
He attended East Henderson High School, and received his GED from Blue Ridge Community College. He worked in the electrical field.
In addition to his mother, survivors include a brother, Charles Mackinley ìMackyî Thomas and his wife Estrie; and his niece, Makinley Thomas; grandmother, JoAn Summey; aunts and uncles, Elaine Summey, Charles V. Summey, Jr., Jimmy and Tasha Summey, Debbie and Wayne Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, Anita Thomas, Billy Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Bobby and Margie Devine, and many cousins.
A funeral will be a t 3:00 pm Friday in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Guy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm prior to the service in the chapel.
Praying and thinking of the family during this difficult time. I went to middle and high school with Clyde and have many memories of him. Saddened to hear about a life gone too soon. Much love to you all.
