Columbus Carroll ìSnuffyî Clontz, 55, of East Flat Rock went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Pardee Hospital after a long illness. He lived in Henderson County most of his life, and was the son of Casty and Delma Mathis Clontz of Etowah.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Tracie Clontz of East Flat Rock; a son, Joshua Clontz of Etowah; a daughter, Stephanie Markham and her husband Kurt of Bulls Gap, TN; a step-son, Christopher Norman of East Flat Rock; two sisters, Darlene McCoppin and her husband Alex of Etowah, Sandra Orr and her husband Brian of Hendersonville; two grandchildren Jake and Jaxon Markham; a niece, Nicole McCoppin; a nephew, Brandon Orr; three uncles, Rev. Marvin Mathis and his wife Viola of Hendersonville, Roger Clontz and his wife Patricia of Travelers Rest, SC, Charles Littleton and his wife Dora of Etowah; an aunt, Barbara Galloway and her husband Paul of Etowah; and his best friend Jeff Norman of East Flat Rock.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Mathis officiating.
