Connie Ray Allison of Etowah, North Carolina, born on May 22, 1932, in Henderson County, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
Connie dedicated 42 years of his life to HVAC Maintenance at Ecusta in Pisgah Forest, where he worked tirelessly until his well-deserved retirement. He was known for his skill and expertise in the field. Beyond his professional life, Connie had various passions that brought him joy. He was a talented rock mason and woodworker, always creating beautiful pieces with his hands. He also found fulfillment in serving as a “handyman” in the community whenever someone needed assistance.
Connie’s unwavering commitment extended beyond his work and hobbies; he proudly served his country for four years in the United States Navy. His time in the Navy instilled in him a sense of duty, honor, and loyalty, traits that he carried throughout his life.
Connie was preceded in death by his parents, Rankin and Nell Holden Allison; and his beloved wife, Maudine Orr Allison, who passed away on October 25, 2014. He also mourned the loss of two brothers, Harold Allison and Joe Allison.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving son, Barron Allison, and his wife, DeAnn; two grandsons, Brandon Allison and his wife, Britany, and Darren Allison. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service in honor of Connie Ray Allison will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Rev. Stanley Adcock will officiate the service, ensuring a meaningful tribute to his life. As a token of remembrance, United States Navy will provide military honors, highlighting Connie’s dedicated service to his country.
