Cynthia “Cindi” Ledbetter, 68, of Saluda was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on the day marking His resurrection and also her mother’s birthday, Sunday, April 17, 2022. A native and lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Willie B. and Maudie Johnson.
Cindi graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Saluda High School. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a short order cook at Ward’s Grill in Saluda for 30 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, tending to her flower garden, and making floral arrangements; however, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Her grandchildren were always priority number 1.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Tommy Ledbetter; sons, Scott Ledbetter and his wife, Heather and Cody Ledbetter and his wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kendall and Sawyer Ledbetter; sister, Barbara Johnson and numerous aunts, cousins and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Andy Craver officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel from 1-2pm. Burial will follow the service in Saluda City Cemetery.
So many memories of good times spent with Cindi & her whole family. My heart is breaking for for Tommy, Scott, Cody, Barb & all the family & grandkids. She was a wonderful friend & kind to all that she met. May God give you Grace to get through this most difficult time. May your memories & love comfort you knowing you will always have that Angel looking over you. So sorry for your loss. Cindi will be missed by so very many!
Remembering Cindy in our high school years. Such a sweet girl. Then after many years of being away from Saluda connected again when going into Ward’s grill. I’m sorry that those later years were too short. Sympathy extended to family members.
Tommy and family, So sorry for your loss.
Our thoughts and prayers to all the family at this difficult time.
Tommy & Sharon King
