D.D. Holbert, 51, of Hendersonville peacefully gained her angel wings on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her residence. Born on April 25, 1965 in Winston-Salem, NC, she was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and a graduate of Edneyville High School.

D.D. was an optimistic person who was always smiling and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment she was able to spend with them, especially her grandson, Mance, and her nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Vickie, was the pride and joy of her world and she was extremely proud of her. Her four sisters were a great joy to her and she valued the relationships that they each shared. She had a deep love for the dogs that she owned over the years, including her current one, Pearl.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Seelig and her husband Mark of Hendersonville; grandson, Mance Seelig and the family’s dog, Pearl; mother, Eugenia Stepp; sisters, Suzy Holbert, Sherry Boles (Ron), Frankie Holbert and Tina Holbert (Todd Banks); nieces, Jackie, Bobbi, Sam and Gina; nephews, Mikey, Bo and Austin, as well as a host of extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Monday, March 20, 2017 in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home with the family officiating.

A memorial fund, through TMC funding has been set up to help the family cover the unexpected expenses that they now face. Please Click Here to be taken to the link.
