Darrell “Brian” Morgan, 55, of Zirconia, North Carolina, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
He was so loved by his wife, Wendy of 33 years; and his two sons, Jared (Evan) and AJ (Regan); his dad, Darrell; and one brother, Jeff.
Brian was preceded in death by his mom, Randy.
His love of hunting grew into other passions: those for mountain biking and sipping bourbon. He was gifted with working with wood and started building with his family at the age of 10. He made many friendships with his customers whose homes he skillfully built. Brian loved his church, life group, and serving on the safety team.
He often joked about having the gift of sarcasm, but he was truly a softy at heart. He will be so missed by his family and friends. We know we will see him again and praise the Lord for that!!
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Living Water Church, 1284 Sugarloaf Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina 28792 with Pastor Tony Birkhead officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Morgan’s memory are asked to consider, Pisgah Area SORBA by visiting www.pisgahareasorba.org.
Brian began doing construction and carpentry work at our house in Flat Rock shortly after we moved here in 2016. Hequickly progressed from being a skilled and trusted vendor to being a friend as well. We enjoyed talking with him and benefited from his advice on assorted household matters. He was a good guy, and we were shocked and deeply saddened to hear that he had passed so soon in life. Our sympathies to his family.—Clark and Jane Irwin
