Darrell Morgan, born on Tuesday, September 12, 1950, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his residence in Saluda, North Carolina. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he transitioned into eternal rest.
Darrell was born in Henderson Co., NC, he was the son of the late Lee Morgan and Ruby Gosnell Morgan. Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Morgan, his son Dean Morgan, and his brother Leo Morgan.
Darrell was a lifelong member of Zirconia Baptist Church and attended Zion Hill Baptist Church. Darrell was an amazing Father and always put his family first. Darrell spent most of his life logging and ran a successful logging business. Darrell had a positive impact on countless lives and was known for his kindness and extremely large heart.
Darrell is survived by his daughter, Renee Morgan; Jacob Jarvis, who has been like a son to Darrell; four sisters Jean Thompson; Wilma Ponder; Frances McFalls (Bo); Willie Smith; and one brother James Morgan (Carolyn).
Darrell’s life will be honored on Tuesday, September 05, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Rev. Scott Pace and Rev. Blair Harvey, who will share stories of his remarkable spirit and offer comfort to all in attendance. Following the service, interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. To pay tribute to Darrell, the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
I am so sorry for your loss, you are a close knit family and I know he will be greatly missed. He was a nice man and I enjoyed the times we spent talking, mostly about his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Such a great loss to many. He always made sure to speak to me anytime I would run into him. I held the utmost respect for that man & I am saddened by the loss. I know he was very close to his siblings & will be missed tremendously.
