David O. Harden, 81, of Hendersonville passed away Friday, January 27, 2011 at Pardee Hospital due to heart complications.
Born in Worcester, MA, he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and worked for Bigelow Waste Co. for thirty Four years and Worcester Memorial Hospital for seven years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Worcester, MA and First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville. He was a resident of Henderson County for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Michael G. Makinen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Ann Harden; a daughter, Paulette Seile and her husband George of Grafton, MA; three sons, Ronald D. Harden of Webster, MA., Daniel Harden and his wife Katherine of Spencer, MA., and John Harden and his wife Bonnie of Dudley, MA; a step-son, Roger W. Makinen of CO; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to The Hendersonville Rescue Mission P.O. Box 1512 Hendersonville, NC 28793 or St. Jude Children Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 23805.
