David Rogers Freeman, 68, of Dana went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence following a long illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Wilson C. and Ella C. Gilreath Freeman. He worked with and retired from Eucusta Corporation after thirty-seven and a half years of service. He was a graduate of East Henderson High School, AB Tech. Community College, and Blue Ridge Community College. David was a member of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church, and a proud member of A.A. He loved going to Pigeon Forge, TN with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years Judith Hoots Freeman; two children, David Anthony Freeman (April), Tracy Freeman Bright (Rusty); four grandchildren, Autumn, Aidan, Ragan, and J.T.; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Youngblood and Keith Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service in the church, and at other times will be at the residence.
