Donald L. Fisher, 87, of Hendersonville passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Elizabeth House after a period of declining health. A native of Beaver Dam, WI, Don lived in Baton Rouge, LA and Racine, WI before moving to Henderson County in 1987. He was a son of the late Kenneth and Frieda Bohl Fisher, and was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Michelle Fisher in 2000. In 1950 Don received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He was a Engineering Manager with S.C. Johnson and Son Inc. when he retired in 1987 following thirty-five years of service. Don was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville and the Hendersonville Country Club. He was a former member of the Hendersonville University Club and the Hendersonville Civitan Club.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Audrey F. Fisher; a son, Steven R. Fisher of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Thomas R. Fisher and his wife Carol of Sun Praire, WI; and several nieces.
A private service is planned.
