Donald Odell Cody, 77, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his home. A native of Henderson County, he was a son of the late Monroe T. and Selma G. Cody. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Sam Norville; a sister, Gladys Amerson; and two brothers, Monroe ìBillî Cody and Roy J. Cody.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He retired from Hendersonville Tire, and was a bus driver for Henderson County Schools and the Boys & Girls Club in Hendersonville. He was an exceptional husband and a special loving father.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Cody; three sons, Johnny Ray Norville, Tommy Kerr and Jimmy D. Norville; two daughters, Karen J. Cody and Linda Ann Marinkovic; two sisters, Annie Case and Polly Cody; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Reverend Tony Hall will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm Saturday at the church.

So very sorry for your loss. Dad sure enjoyed Don’s visits with him during his last days with us. Now they can pick up where they left off. You are in our prayers and thoughts. We hope you find comfort in knowing Don is with you always in your heart and that there will be a Grand Reunion Day!

Ann, May you feel Gods comforting arms wrapped around you, I have you and your family in my thoughts and prayers,I will always remember his smile and how the kids would always light up when he walked in. the special bond of marriage you two shared was one of a kind. you two have touched so many lives and his memory will always be in our hearts, come have lunch with us any time we love seeing you.
