Donald W. Grant, a loving husband, devoted father, and dedicated member of the community, went to heaven on September 13, 2023, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, at the age of 88. He was born on June 18, 1935, in New Boston, New Hampshire.
Donald led a fulfilling life, working as a semi-truck driver for many years. He found joy in being involved with the Senior Center, where he made lasting friendships and cherished memories. Donald’s commitment to serving others extended beyond his involvement at the Senior Center. He was also a proud member of The American Legion and The Salvation Army, organizations close to his heart.
Prior to his career as a truck driver, Donald dutifully served his country in the US Air Force. His service was marked by bravery, selflessness, and unwavering dedication.
Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helena Grant, and their three children, Kenneth Grant, Yvonne Grant, and Kimberly Grant. Their loss weighed heavily on Donald’s heart, and he carried their memory with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Grant, who will forever cherish the love and guidance received from his father. Additionally, Donald leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each a testament to the legacy of love he leaves behind.
Donald W. Grant will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and willingness to help those in need. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
