Dulcie Mae Pearson, 90, of Zirconia, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Autumn Care of Saluda, after a long illness.
A life-long resident of Henderson and Polk Counties, she was a daughter of the late Bunyon and Dora Belle Russell Gordon and the wife of the late Giles W. Pearson, Jr.
Working until the age of 78, she was a seamstress with ADA, a womenís clothing manufacturing company. She attended Cedar Springs Baptist Church and was an avid gardener.
She is survived by three daughters, Priscilla Pearson of Zirconia, Linda P Hull and her husband Robert of Gold Canyon, AZ and Sarah Pearson of Zirconia; one son, Giles W. Pearson, III and his wife Janet of Hendersonville; two sisters, Clessie E. Pack and Lola Henson, both of Zirconia; two brothers, Odie Mack Gordon of Henderson County and Alvin Gordon of Travelers Rest, SC; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hull, Catherine Hull, Kristin Pearson and Giles W. Pearson, IV and wife Abigail; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Jacobs and Charlotte Pearson; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Reverend Sherrill Moore will officiate. Burial will be private.
