Edna M. Stancil, 82, of Hendersonville passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Elizabeth House following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Leonard Stancil who died in 1977, and was also preceded in death by her son, Bobby Stancil.
Survivors include a daughter, Candy Peterson and her husband Pat of Soperton, GA; a son, Danny Stancil and his wife Charlene of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Missy DeWitt, Shane Peterson, Chad Peterson, Hallie Stancil, Dena Stancil; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Sonny Shaffer and his wife Leona of Cave City, KY; a sister, Norma Dennison of Bradenton, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Fred W. Symmes Chapel “Pretty Place”, 100 WMCA Camp Road, Cleveland, SC 29635.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979. Floral tributes may be delivered to the home of Danny Stancil.

I’m Mabel’s granddaughter, Mindy. I’m sorry to hear great-aunt Edna passed away. Grandma talked about her alot, and now they’re together.
