Edna Whitmire, 83, of East Flat Rock, went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, Edna was the daughter of the late Cleophas and Grace Shuford Caroway, and the wife of the late William Whitmire. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Zirconia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Keith Sizemore, Randy Bane, and David Bane will officiate.
