Our beloved Mother, Eileen Martha Paulhamus, 78, of Hendersonville, NC went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 10, 2022. She was met at the Gates of Heaven by her husband of 56 years, Holden Taylor (Bud) Paulhamus III, with whom she will now spend Eternity.
She is survived by her son Robert Paulhamus and his children Susannah and John Michael; daughter Vikki Watson and son-in-law Chuck Watson; sister Frietha Lawrence and brother-in-law Gary Lawrence; and many other relatives and friends that she considered ‘family’.
Along with her sister, Frietha, Eileen had a lifelong love and talent for art, which she turned into a ministry for her church, Mud Creek Baptist, where she and Bud were members. She designed her own greeting cards that she would send each week to shut-ins and cancer, hospital, and nursing home patients.
She had a love for cats, and shared a passion for Southern Gospel and Barbershop music, and the Atlanta Braves with Bud. She also enjoyed writing long letters to her sister and long-distance friends. She truly had a servant’s heart and never met a stranger.
Eileen was a faithful friend, a devoted wife and a loving mother. She will be immeasurably missed until we all meet again in Glory.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Mud Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

To Eileen’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful soul and loved her family and friends. Both of our husbands funeral services were just one day apart at Mud Creek. We encouraged each other over the past couple of years. Eileen’s cards (her ministry at Mud Creek) are beautiful.
Loving thoughts and prayers to the family. Singing praises that Eileen’s is now in Heaven with Bud and our Jesus! ♥️
