Fannie Hall Cantrell, 89, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at the Elizabeth House.

She was born in Sunburst, NC, to the late Jesse James and Alda Banks Hall. She was a homemaker and attended the Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Monroe Cantrell.

She is survived by one daughter, Libby Cantrell; four sons, Jesse Monroe, William Elmer, Otis Edward and Thomas Michael Cantrell; two brothers, Ralph and William Hall; one sister, Bethel Smith, all of Hendersonville; sixteen grandchildren; thirty one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Revs. Sherman Waters and Stephen McCarson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in the chapel at Forest Lawn Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

She was so sweet. She came to church when she really didn’t feel up to coming. I know she will be missed but we know where she is today.
