Florence M. McGraw, 62, of Hendersonville passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 at Elizabeth House. A native of Yancy County, she lived in Henderson County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Ed and Bertha King Wheeler. She was a quality control technician with Shorewood Packaging for the past twelve years, and attended Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her loving husband of forty-three years, Joel McGraw; a son Michael J. McGraw and his wife Pam of Richmond, VA; a daughter, Lisa L. Coomer and her husband Brian of Mars Hill; two sisters, Frances Quinn and her husband Joe of Etowah, Betty Freeman of Dana; four grandsons, Michael C. McGraw, Steven J. McGraw, Jesse Coomer, Issac Coomer; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 4:30 pm Sunday in the chapel of Forest Lawn Mortuary. Mr. Joe Quinn and Mrs. W. H. Gentry will officiate. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 S.
