Francis X. Leahy, 73, of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010.
Born in Claremont, New Hampshire, he was a son of the late Anthony and Inez Leahy.
He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy for 30 years. He was a licensed Religious Science Practitioner, an Ordained Minister of Religious Science and a well loved member of Center for Spiritual Living, Asheville.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dorothy V. Leahy; a son, Francis Leahy, Jr; a daughter, Jennifer Leahy Gibson; three step-sons, David Phillips, Dennis Phillips and William Phillips; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Tarras of Chattanooga, TN; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Saturday at Center for Spiritual Living, located at 2 Science of Mind Way Asheville, NC 28806. Phone: (828) 253-2325. The family will receive friends from 11am-12:30pm Saturday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Hendersonville.
Thank you for being a such a patient teacher, wonderful mentor, reliable confidant, and genuine friend. You will always remain in our hearts and thoughts.
I remember Francis as a very kind and gentle soul. He was the person I went to for treatment. I will dearly miss him.
