Huston “Huey” Tyler Moore, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 19, 2023, from his residence in Leesburg, FL, at the age of 33. Huston was born on October 14, 1989, in Asheville, North Carolina, and was formerly of Hendersonville, North Carolina, where he was a 2008 graduate of North Henderson High School before moving to Florida three years ago.
Huston was a hardworking individual who was passionate about working with his hands. He had worked in both concrete and tree work, where he loved to operate a chainsaw. Huston’s interests also included fishing, four wheeling and drawing. He attended First Baptist Church of Leesburg in Florida, where he found solace in being part of his community. Never having met a stranger, he had touched and brought joy to the lives of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Moore; maternal grandfather, Sanford Perry; maternal grandmother, Jannie Ward Simpson; three uncles, David Moore, Doug Perry, Rickey Perry and cousin Kalen Perry.
Huston is survived by his parents, Anthony B. “Tony” Moore and Desirée Perry Moore; one sister, Alexis Moore; one brother, Garrett Moore; one niece, Bristol Wright; one nephew, Phoenix Wright; paternal grandmother, Betty C. Moore and step-grandfather “Pa Paw”, Lawrence M. Simpson. He is also survived by uncles and aunts, Wayne and Beth Warren and Billy and Charman Corn; cousins, Brandon Warren, Kyle Perry, Payton Corn, and Ashton Corn and a community of friends whom he had met along his journey.
The family and friends of Huston will gather to celebrate his life in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Hendersonville on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Lewkowicz officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Huston’s unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be missed but never forgotten. His legacy of hard work, determination and passion will live on.
