Inger Skov Pedersen, 87, of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Vildbjerg, Denmark, she lived in Henderson County since 1990. She was a daughter of the late Christian and Anna Skov. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Karen Skov. She owned and operated a small clothing store before immigrating to the United States in 1956. In 1958 she met and married her husband in New York, and later moved to Houston, TX, before coming Hendersonville. She enjoyed many years hosting friends and family at their home in Flat Rock. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. She had a wonderful servantís heart and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-four years, Kristen Pedersen; a son, Erik Pedersen and his wife Kathleen of Boston, MA; a daughter, Bodil Pedersen of Boston, MA; and a number of nieces and nephews in Denmark.
A funeral will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Dr. Gordon Elliott will officiate. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 pm prior to the service in the chapel.
