Isabella H. Duncan, 95, of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Autumn Care in Saluda.
Born in Norwich, CT to Gustav and Mary Hollin Hague, she was the widow of Duncan Macaulay Duncan, who passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stanley Staton, in 2009. She taught Sunday School and directed Junior Choir in Greeneville Congregational Church in CT. After moving to Hendersonville in 1958, she taught Sunday School and was the last charter member of Heymann Womanís Fellowship.
Survivors include a brother, James H. Hague of CT; a son, Robert J. Duncan; a daughter, Elaine D. Staton; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Fruitland Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Warren officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church. AS the Days ahead will still be hard as you miss your Mom, grandma, & sister. We find comfort knowing they are finally Home in the care of our Lord and King, out of pain and worry.
