Isabelle Osteen Staton, 95, of Zirconia, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 09, 2015 at the Elizabeth House after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James and Una Ward Capps; and the wife of the late Hubert Staton. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Osteen, two sons, Mack and Leland Osteen.
She was a lifelong member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her lifeís focus was on her family, her church, and her work.
She is survived by three daughters, Arnetta Mullinax and her husband Garland, Nola Garber and her husband Paul, Ann Lindsey and her husband Johnny, all of Zirconia; fourteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Beatrice Beddingfield of Zirconia; two brothers, Donald Capps and his wife Ludith of Hendersonville, Douglas Capps and his wife Elaine of Zirconia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be at 2:00pm Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Holbert and Thad Dowdle officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Springs Baptist Church, 10 Raven Rock Road, Zirconia, NC 28790.
