Mr. Jackie Rudisail, age 65, of Etowah, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Accordius Health at Asheville. A native of Henderson County, North Carolina, born December 10, 1956, he was the son of the late Howard “Jack” Rudisail and Ada Dalton Rudisail.
Jackie had a passion for genealogy and loved attending family reunions. He was a member of the Krewe of Centaur in Shreveport, Louisiana. His greatest joy in life was riding their float and throwing beads in their parades. He was a season ticket holder to the Asheville Tourists until he could no longer attend. He stayed connected to his many friends with letters and cards. Jackie was a graduate of Appalachian State University and attended Etowah Baptist Church.
Jackie is survived by his sister, Phyllis FitzSimons (Dunkin); niece, Allison Finlay (Kevin); nephew, Patrick FitzSimons (Sarah); two great-nieces, Clara Finlay, and Ada FitzSimons; and one great-nephew, Declan Finlay.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Rudisail’s memory are asked to consider a charity of one’s choice.
Jackie and I went through grade 1-12 together, he was always very upbeat and nice. We chatted on Facebook quiet a lot and I will miss chatting with him! I am so sad he had so many health issues over the past few years. But he is at peace now and may his family have comfort knowing this. Rest in Peace my friend.
