James Eugene Palmer, 63, of Hendersonville passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Elizabeth House.
Born in Yonkers, NY, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He had lived in Henderson county for many years and had been employed with Mac Easler Ford. He was a Detailer and Inspector for Fletcher BMW and was a member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winfred and Thelma C. Rollins; a brother, John Rollins and a nephew, David Kite.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dee Palmer; a daughter, Melissa Soy and her husband Sam; three brotherís-in-law, Gary Rollins, Gerome Rollins and Michael Rollins; a sister-in-law, Betty R. Franklin; two grandsons, Elki Soy and Kori Soy; eighteen nieces and nephews, sixteen great-nieces and nephews and thirteen great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday at Hendersonville Church of Christ, 1975 Haywood Rd. Hendersonville. Pastors Steve Teel and Will Tucker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday at the church.
