James T. Killebrew, 85, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
He was a native of Martin, Tennessee and the son of the late Robert D. and Elsie Killebrew.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was involved throughout his employment career with the construction industry and was an active member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #265 until his retirement.
James is survived by his wife Doris, sons Richard Killebrew and his wife Cathy, and Mike Killebrew all of Chicago, IL; grandchild, Shawn Killebrew and his wife Katie; and great-grandchildren, Kyra, Julia, and Jenna Killebrew all of Cottage Grove, WI.
A funeral will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Senn officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am prior to the service in the chapel.
I guess I will always remember Jim for his delight in teasing. He made me laugh more than once. He will be missed and I am grateful for having known him for a few years at least.
