Many families receive gifts from God, and one of our gifts has been called home to be with the Lord. Jan Rhodes Gravely, 54, completed her life journey on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
She was a native of Hendersonville. Her life was a demonstration of God’s grace and His love.
She is survived by her father, Willard Rhodes and her mother Dorothy Rhodes; husband, Joseph Gravely; son, Joseph-Kevin Gravely; sisters, Lorie Henderson of Dana and Annette Lively of East Flat Rock; brother, J.R. Rhodes of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Forest Lawn Mortuary Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00. Guests may sign a register book at www.forestlawnhendersonvill.com.
Forest Lawn Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Willard, JR, Lori, and Annette: I am so very sorry to hear that Jan is no longer with us. I have only the fondest memories of her smile, her big heart, and that voice that was as unique as she was. We will miss her deeply, but we also know she is in good company with the family who left before her. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

JR and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your sister/loved one. All of you are a dear family to me, although time and just life itself, has drifted our families apart. I think of you all often, especially you JR, as you are the one I know the best. My Love and Prayers are with all of you in this time of sorrow. May God Richly Bless each of you.
Willard and Dorothy, a special hug to you guys, I think of you and wonder how you are doing often. Please take care
Your Friend,
Teresa
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this difficult time.
My mind has drifted far back down memory lane since I heard of Jans’ passing. She was a true part of our family for the many years her Dad pastored at Selica Baptist Church. What a reunion must be taking place in heaven. I love you Rhodes family, my prayers are with you.
