Janette Cervantes

Janette Cervantes, nacida el 12 de diciembre de 2002 en Chapel Hill, Carolina del Norte, dejó este mundo el sábado 21 de octubre de 2023 en el Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center en Charlotte, Carolina del Norte, luego de una breve batalla contra la neumonía y un 5 Batalla de años contra la insuficiencia renal. Vivió una vida llena de pasión y determinación, dejando un legado duradero que inspirará a todos los que la conocieron.

A la temprana edad de 20 años, la partida prematura de Janette nos recuerda la fragilidad de la vida. Sin embargo, su impacto fue profundo y de gran alcance. A lo largo de su trayectoria, persiguió sus sueños con dedicación inquebrantable, buscando siempre la excelencia.

Janette tenía un espíritu creativo, como lo demuestra su amor por los álbumes de recortes y las manualidades hechas a mano. Poseía un ojo artístico y sin esfuerzo trajo belleza al mundo a través de sus creaciones. Su atención al detalle y su capacidad para convertir objetos cotidianos en obras de arte fueron realmente inspiradoras.

Pero las aspiraciones de Janette iban más allá de sus talentos artísticos. Con una pasión inquebrantable por el conocimiento, aspiraba a continuar su educación y convertirse en médica. Su deseo de sanar a otros y marcar la diferencia en el campo médico demostró su altruismo y compasión. Janette también soñaba con tener su propia casa y vehículo, símbolos de su independencia y perseverancia. Su determinación de crear una vida mejor para ella le sirvió como recordatorio de que con trabajo duro y dedicación todo es posible.

Durante su estancia en Blue Ridge Early College, donde se graduó en 2022, Janette abrazó el crecimiento académico y personal. Formó amistades duraderas y dejó una marca indeleble en los corazones de quienes encontró en el camino.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus abuelos, Irma Pérez García y Cleofus Cervantes Durán; y una tía, Irma Cervantes.

El fallecimiento de Janette deja un vacío en la vida de sus seres queridos. Le sobreviven sus padres, Georgina Cervantes y Vicente Cruz de Flat Rock, Carolina del Norte; así como su hermano, Jared Cruz. Además, su familia extensa extrañará profundamente a Janette, incluidos varios tíos, tías, primos e innumerables amigos. Sus padrinos, Crispin Barradas y Martha Martínez, fueron fundamentales para guiar su viaje y apoyar sus sueños.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio para celebrar la vida de Janette el domingo 29 de octubre de 2023 a las 2:00 p.m. en la Capilla de Funeraria Forest Lawn, oficiando Alfredo Saldaña. Después del servicio, será enterrada en Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Previo a la ceremonia, la familia recibirá a los amigos a partir de las 12:00 horas. hasta las 14:00 horas en la funeraria.  En memoria de Janette, se anima a los asistentes a los servicios del domingo a vestir algo blanco.

Janette Cervantes, born on December 12, 2002, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, left this world on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, following a brief battle with pneumonia, and a 5-year battle with kidney failure. She lived a life filled with passion and determination, leaving behind an enduring legacy that will inspire all who knew her.

At the young age of 20, Janette’s untimely departure reminds us of the fragility of life. Yet, her impact was profound and far-reaching. Throughout her journey, she pursued her dreams with unwavering dedication, always striving for excellence.

Janette had a creative spirit, evidenced by her love for scrapbooking and handmade crafts. She possessed an artistic eye and effortlessly brought beauty into the world through her creations. Her attention to detail and ability to turn ordinary objects into works of art were truly inspiring.

But Janette’s aspirations stretched beyond her artistic talents. With an unyielding passion for knowledge, she aspired to continue her education and become a doctor. Her desire to heal others and make a difference in the medical field demonstrated her selflessness and compassion. Janette also had dreams of owning her own home and vehicle, symbols of her independence and perseverance. Her determination to create a better life for herself served as a reminder that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

During her time at Blue Ridge Early College, where she graduated in 2022, Janette embraced both academics and personal growth. She formed lasting friendships and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered along the way.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irma Perez Garcia and Cleofus Cervantes Duràn; and one aunt, Irma Cervantes.

Janette’s passing leaves a void in the lives of her loved ones. She is survived by her parents, Georgina Cervantes and Vicente Cruz of Flat Rock, North Carolina; as well as her brother, Jared Cruz. In addition, Janette will be deeply missed by her extended family, including several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Her Godparents, Crispin Barradas and Martha Martinez, were instrumental in guiding her journey and supporting her dreams.

A service to celebrate Janette’s life will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Alfredo Saldaña officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Prior to the ceremony, the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In memory of Janette, those attending the services on Sunday are encouraged to wear something white.

We remember Janette Cervantes with love and admiration, cherishing the memories she left behind. May her determination, creativity, and kindness inspire us all to live our lives with purpose and embrace the pursuit of our dreams. Janette’s spirit will forever remain in our hearts, serving as a guiding light in our own journeys.
