Jodean Harris Wilson Sluder, 81, of Hendersonville passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at her home after a brief illness.
Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Crawford and Minnie Cordelia Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. ìBobî Wilson who died in 1987, and her seven brothers and sisters.
Jodean was employed by General Electric for 29 years, retiring in 1989. She attended Mountain View Baptist Church. Jodean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Sluder of Hendersonville; daughter, Cynthia Chatman; son, Brad Wilson; grandchildren, David Chatman and Lisa Wilson; great-grandchildren, Korbit Collins and Bradley Collins; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The Reverends Sherrill Moore and Sam Beddingfield will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
