John Ivan Corn, 63, of Flat Rock passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at his home following a short illness. A native of Lake City, TN, he lived in Henderson County since 1956. He was a son of the late Claude and Martha Corn.
He worked with Shorewood Packaging for twenty-six years, and was a member of East Hendersonville Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Elks Lodge 1616 BPOE, and Moose Lodge #711.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-nine years, Nancy Corn; a son, Jonathan Corn of Whiteville, TN; a brother, Ronnie W. Corn of Upward; three sisters, Patricia Corn Garren of Hoopers Creek, Sandra Corn Houk and her husband Robert of Hendersonville, Sarah Joan Heatherly and her husband Mike of Fletcher; three granddaughters, Payton, Preslee, Alexys; a number of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at East Hendersonville Baptist Church. Revs. Carroll Poole and David Reese will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Monday at the church.
