Jonathan Luke Carmichael, II, 24, of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at his home. A native of Henderson County, he was the son of Bridgett Cantrell and his stepfather, James Hutcherson of Hendersonville, and Luke Carmichael and his stepmother, Sue Donohue, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He attended Hendersonville High School and was working on his GED at Blue Ridge Community College. He was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Carmichael, Sr., Joseph Lewis Cantrell, and Judy Q. Arrowood.
When Jonathan found out he was sick at 19, he could never get a grip on his illness. On thing led to another and he ended up with several medical problems. He had a heart of gold. When he loved, he loved completely. He was incapable of holding a grudge. His heart was as pure as the day he was born, and he wanted that from everyone else. It would hurt him if that would not happen.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother, Jordan Craig Davis of the home; a sister, Lilli Hutcherson of the home; maternal grandfather, Pearson Arrowood; paternal grandparents, Mike and Judy Jones; several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Sunday, April18, 2010 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Vasculitis Foundation P.O. Box 28660 Kansas City, MO 64188-8660.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this time. I went to school with Luke back in 1983 and I know it must be difficult to loose a child.
I pray that God wraps his loving arms around you and comforts you with peace and wonderful memories of Jonathan each time you feel you can’t handle it alone.
Sending you peace and love
