Josephine Buckner Young, 96, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 16, 2011.
Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Etta Buckner; husbands, Shirley Clark and Thomas Young; brothers, Foy and Guy “Buddy” Buckner and niece, Carolyn Buckner Romstadt.
She retired from Garrett Ford Company in Hendersonville as bookkeeper. She enjoyed working and loved her family and friends. She enjoyed the beach and living in Florida for several years with her husband Tom. She was a member of East Flat Rock Methodist Church. She spent her last years at Spring Arbor of Hendersonville.
Josie is survived by her nephew, James Buckner and wife Marian of Junction City, GA; a niece, Joyce Young of Hendersonville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Josie was a favorite cousin and was a wonderful person whom we enjoyed spending time with. Her wit and laughter and just the way she enjoyed life were special in my memory. She was much loved and prayed for in her ailing years.
She is now at perfect peace and with her Lord and Savior.
