Joyce Ann Camp Harris, age 69 of Flat Rock, entered Heaven on November 21, 2021 after a short battle with cancer.
This wonderful lady touched many lives and will greatly be missed. Family left to cherish her memories are: Husband of 52 years Jesse “Ronnie” Harris, mom Oneda Camp, brother Frank Camp (Renee), son Johnny Harris (Crystal), daughter Lori Ellison (George), granddaughter Ashley Corn (Logan), and grandson Joshua Ellison (Karly). She was also a great grandma to Conner and Tynlee Corn. Joyce was looking forward to meeting additional great grandchildren with Waylon Ellison due this December and baby girl Corn due next May. She had multiple sister/brother in laws, nieces and nephews that were special to her.
She is preceded in death by her dad John Nick Camp, sister Gail Swink, and grandson Robert Latha Harris. We also want to recognize her mother and father in law who were so good to her over the years (Latha and Alice Harris). We asked her to give each of them a kiss for us when she sees them in Heaven!
Joyce loved her work at Summer Path as office manager for the last 22 years and only recently retired. She also utilized her real estate license in this role.
Joyce could be found shopping at thrift stores and garage sales. She loved to find unique bargains and her passion was decorating her home and others in the family with those things. Her favorite holiday was July 4th and she loved the patriotic red, white, and blue. She liked Hershey’s candy bars from where her Dad gave them to her and she was so excited when she visited Hershey, PA several years ago.
Her quick humor, kindness, compassion, feisty, and adventuresome spirt will always remain in our hearts. We will always love you Joyce Ann Harris!
We will have a remembrance service on November 23rd, Tuesday at 6PM at Spring Haven community building in Flat Rock, NC.
She was such a nice person. Loved her work at Summer Path. She will be missed.
Our prayer go out to each of you. What a wonderful mother she was because we see it reflected in both of her precious children and her grandchildren. May God wrap his arms around each of you during this difficult time. Our love, Janet and Mike
