Karen Elaine Wills

May 3, 1963 - April 27, 2013

05/03/1963 - 04/27/2013

Hendersonville, NC

Karen Elaine Wills, 49, of Hendersonville, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Elizabeth House.

She is the daughter of Marie Morina of Hendersonville and Hal Wills of Pittsburg, PA. She is preceded in death by a baby sister, Mary Wills.

Karen was a very loving daughter, even though she had autism, she did what she could and loved to help people. She volunteered for 8 years with the Henderson County Public Library and helped when she could at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Karen loved work, going to the mall, coloring beautiful pictures especially dancing tulips and flowers, playing go fish, good music, and loved to sing. Her favorite song was ìJesus is the Rock in a weary land a shelter in the time of a stormî. Karen is in heaven with Jesus her savior where all is peaceful and she will be in no more pain, sickness, or sorrow. She lifted peoples spirits everywhere she went and such a joy to be around.

It is so hard for a mother to say goodbye here to a child. Karen was such a blessing to me. I love her so much and will miss her forever here, until we meet again in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family offers their sincere thanks to the Elizabeth House for their love and care of Karen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Elizabeth House, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

We did not know Karen, but I am wondering if we saw her at the mall while we walked. There was a young lady sitting with another lady always coloring or playing cards and she seemed to enjoy her time there so much, and we always looked for her. We had not seen her for a while, and I guess that is when she became ill. We pray that you, Marie, feel the healing of Jesus during your grief. We also have been in your situation and you will heal too, with our Lord’s help. May God Bless you always.
