Keith Alan Davis, 64, of Hendersonville, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at the John F. Keever Solace Center. He was a son of the late James R. and Dorothy W. Davis. He was also preceded in death by a niece, Jennifer Kohler.
Keith retired as a principal in Pinellas County, FL, in July 2010, after 30 years of service. His professional specialty was working with children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional challenges. He was employed by Henderson County School Board as a behavior specialist from August 2010 to October 2013.
Keith was a faithful Christian and a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Clearwater, FL, where he served on the Staff Parish Committee and was also involved with Kairos Prison Ministry. Keith served in the United States Air Force as a Communications Center Specialist for three years with a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam. He was also a member of The American Legion.
Keith enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing, cooking, sailing, and spending time with his family and friends who will miss him very much. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.
Survivors include his loving wife, Anita Davis; son, Mark Kroll-Fratoni and wife Katharina of Cologne, Germany; sister, Diane Jarrell and husband, Tom of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers, James Davis, Jr. and wife, Jeanne of Dunedin, FL, and Gary Davis and wife Jennifer of Tampa, FL; eight nieces and nephews in FL, NC, and Ontario, Canada
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, at 4:30 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Alex Knight officiating. The family wishes to invite everyone to a reception following the service at Carriage Park Community Clubhouse.
