Lavada H. Jones, born on March 12, 1942, in Flat Rock, North Carolina, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She was 82 years old.

Lavada dedicated 33 years of her life to her work with Kimberly Clark, leaving a lasting impact through her dedication and hard work.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Newell Hill and Mary Helen Hill, as well as her sister Myrtice Case and brother Heasley Hill.

Lavada is survived by her loving daughter Norma J. Bell and husband Jim Bell of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and son Wayne Jones Jr. and wife Deborah of Saluda, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister Mary Gibson of Seattle, Washington, and brother Doyle Hill and wife Joan of Hendersonville, North Carolina. Lavada leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will cherish her memory and carry on her legacy.

A graveside service to honor Lavada’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, at 10:30 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina, 28791. The service will be officiated by Mike Jeter.

Lavada’s unwavering spirit and dedication to her family and work will always be remembered and cherished. May she find eternal peace and rest in the loving memories she leaves behind.

Norma and Family,

I am so sorry for your loss.

I had such a fun time at Flat Rock High School because of Lavada. We played together on the basketball team. She was a very good basketball player. We had a great time going to basketball games, basketball practice, and just being good friends.
