Linda Gillenwater, 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Elizabeth House. She was surrounded by her loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late James ìDocî and Annie Enloe Pittillo. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Marion Fisher and a brother, Sonny Pittillo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Roy Gillenwater; four children, Teresa Scarborough (Stanley), Lisa Kucharchuk (Darrell Davis), Margo Barbee (Gary), and Avery Fisher, all of Hendersonville; two stepchildren, Carl Gillenwater (Nancy) of Spartanburg, SC, and Tommy Gillenwater (Erin) of Tuscaloosa, AL; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth and Spencer Kucharchuk, Carl Jr., Dakota, Haylee, Gage and Jalyn Gillenwater; a sister Barbara Ann McGraw and two brothers, Johnny Pittillo (Carol) and Reed Pittillo, all of Hendersonville; extended family including several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.
Linda retired from Dupont after many years of service. She enjoyed crafting, fishing, searching for treasures and spending time with her family and loyal pets Scarlett and Precious. Her beautiful smile and big heart will be remembered by all those that she touched.
