Lois Beddingfield McAlister, 98, of Zirconia, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Elizabeth House.
Born in Henderson county, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Eloise Beddingfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laverne Mullinax and six brothers and one sister. She was the oldest living member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Garland Mullinax and his wife Arnetta of Zirconia; a daughter, Geraldine Faust-Cary of Yucaipa, CA; six grandchildren, Holly Burkhart of Riverside, CA, Myra Hill of Greenville, SC, Mary Mullinax of Asheville, James Faust of Hollywood, CA, Thomas Faust of Hollywood, CA and Philip Mullinax of Fletcher; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Dr. Thad Dowdle and Reverend Gerald Jones will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
May these words of the Most High God, Jehovah, be of comfort to you at this time. At Psalms 147:3 it says: He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up their painful spots. I am so sorry to read about Mrs. McAlister’s death. Please allow God’s word to heal your heart.
