Our precious Mother has departed this life, and gone on for her eternal life. We are confident we will see her againÖ.for our hope is in the Lord—who gave her to us for all these ninety-six years. She is truly missed today, although we expect she has already been re-united with the love of her life—our Dad, Lyonell Augustus “Bill” Wyatt. Dad had gone on before us two years ago. Her oldest daughter, Patricia, left us in 2005.

She was our confidant while we were in pain. She was our teacher as we learned about life. She was our nurse when we were bruised. She was our friend as we matured. She taught us to love by her quiet example, not so much by what she said—but mostly by what she did.

Thanks be to God for her untiring love and patience throughout her life. She always looked on the positive side of life and never doubted her faith. Her walk and determination were always an inspiration to us.

ÖÖThank you, MomÖ.we love youÖÖ

She was known as “Miss Lucy” by the caring staff who served her over the past few months. They made her journey so much easier, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

Her family has been around her constantly these past few years. Those remaining here are: Her brother James Albert, sister-in-law Paula, son Charles and wife Vivian, son John and wife Sharon, daughter Sally and husband John, daughter Alice and husband Julian, son Roger and wife Leslie, son Tony and wife Susan, and son-in-law Charley. Mom has numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.

Lucy has been in my life since the day I was born, May 15 1931. She was with her dear friend, my aunt, ‘Snookie”, Martha Laws when my late father told her her sister had a baby girl.

I have talked with Lucy several times in the last few years. She was always a dear and caring person. God bless her.her life, and her family, always.

With Love, Harriette Riley Bobbitt
