Margaret B. Eves, 87, of Hendersonville, died Wednesday, April 27, at her home. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she had lived in Hendersonville since 1989. A graduate of The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, she had worked for over 20 years as a librarian at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. Her husband, Lloyd B. Eves, passed away in 2006.

She is survived by three children, Valerie Eves of Bend, OR, Carol E. Palumbo and her husband Fred of Summerfield, NC and Kenneth B. Eves and his wife Katherine of Raleigh, NC; 5 grandchildren, Teddy Larson, Scott Larson, Amy Bonder, Ryan Eves and his wife Katie and John Eves; 2 step-grandsons, Justin Glover and Jon Glover and 8 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 5, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Smile Train, 41 Madison Ave., Suite 2801, New York, NY 10010.

We enjoyed knowing Margaret during the short time she lived at Heritage Hills. We shall miss her smiling face and generous personality.

I have known Margaret such a short time. She was so friendly that it feels like I’ve known her forever. My name is also Margaret and she enjoyed the Margarets sitting together on the bus. I will miss her.
